Referring to recent media reports, let us clarify that Polskie LNG, in consultation with the owner of the central breakwater in Świnoujście, the Maritime Office in Szczecin, replaced the existing boom gate that restricted access to the facility with a gate and a fence. This gate is and will remain open for Świnoujście residents and tourists, except when LNG ships are unloaded at the terminal (safety issues).

The installation of this infrastructure was driven by legal requirements to ensure safety on hydrotechnical structures, such as the breakwater, and was done in order to secure the site for the construction and use of a new jetty, which will be built as part of the Expansion Program.
